Dear readers,

I am Natasha from Curious Seikatsu and am creating the content for this website. For some time, I have been passionate about self-taught language learning, living abroad, and immersing myself in various cultures, and am writing down my experiences for you to read, share and discover different ways of living a curious life.

Seikatsu is Japanese for livelihood or good life and was chosen as a name for this website in combination with curiosity. I chose a Japanese and English word because it combines words in my two of my favorite languages, one coming from a Germanic language family and the other one has Asian roots, just like myself.

My curiosity for cultures and languages has brought me to many places in life and continue to do so every day. I would like to encourage more students and young professionals to live abroad and experience another culture than your own for a period of time to understand different worldviews and develop your global perspective.
