This 5-minute smoothie bowl is my all-time favorite weekend breakfast and gives me an energy boost lasting until lunch time! While I found this smoothie bowl to be light and simple enough to whip up for an easy breakfast, its ice-cream-like texture and complementing toppings definitely spark that extra-special brunch feeling. Serving: 2 bowls
Ingredients:
5 frozen strawberries
1 banana
1/2 cup almond milk
1 TBS nut butter
1/2 TS chia seeds
1/2 TS flax seeds
1 TS cinnamon
Optional
2 TBS coconut or soy yoghurt
Toppings
(Home-made) granola
Coconut flakes/rasp
Fresh berries
Almonds
Instructions
Blend together all ingredients until smooth texture forms, add banana before strawberries to avoid pieces of fruit stuck in blender. Add any toppings to decorate the smoothie bowl with more energy or have it on its own for a lighter version.
